Rondo vs Scola
Heading into that game Locusts needed to just either win TOs or steals; fundamentalators needed to take both, and so the dance began.
~3:40pm: fundies bench Rondo fearing that there was no chance to win TOs with that madman handling the ball for 40 minutes.
~3:45pm: Locusts bench Scola in response seeing the same pivotal category coming down to the wire.
~3:50pm: fundies are having a good afternoon and suddenly points, which hadn’t been a close category since Monday, are becoming a factor again. Rondo…you’re back in! Get some buckets and we’re finals bound.
~3:52pm: Scola is back in the goddam starting lineup. Again, Locusts was either monitoring things very astutely or fucking with me with minute by minute flip-flopping.
~3:59pm and 50 seconds: Rondo! sit yer ass down!
And the conclusion of that game? TOs tied, steals tied. Locusts are going to the big show. Only the combo of Rondo in and Scola out would have sent the fundies on. CJ Watson also played in that game but he did so with his thumbs shoved deeply and securely up his butt.
